SummaryTherapeutic integration services are designed to support successful participation of ren with special developmental andbehavioral needs within the typical early hood environments. The responsibilities of the TIS are to provide general supportand specific interventions designed for the assigned ren.ResponsibilitiesSupporting the engagement of the Kids Connect with other ren, staff, and in routine activities of the center. Assistance will be provided for: oincreasing communication with and understanding of othersoincreasing involvement in activitiesoenhancing imitationogeneralizing social interactionsodeveloping independence skillsodecreasing aggression or other maladaptive behaviorsolearning problem solving skills (e.g., organization, conflict resolution).osupporting activities of daily livingImplementing the Therapeutic Integration Plan and providing the accommodations and modifications necessary to maximize participation of the as specified in the plan; plan must be adhered to unless otherwise determined by either the Clinical Supervisor or Director.Collecting information on each objective to measure the s progress toward successful integration, maintaining all required documentation for the electronic record.Providing input and feedback regarding the Kids Connect rens integration and interventions to the Director and the Clinical Supervisor during weekly observations/meetings.Communicating effectively with other classroom staff to keep them informed and involve them in the rens interventions.Coordinating with the Director and Clinical Supervisor any communication with families about their rens progressAdhering to all SHECLC policies and procedures in addition to the Kids Connect requirements.Assisting other classroom staff with general activities in the classroom; other staff may assist Kids Connect ren, shifting responsibilities periodically to ensure generalization of learning.Reporting to Director any cases of suspected abuse and/or neglect, or make a direct call to DCYF Child Protective Services (1-800-RICHILD).Doing light housekeeping of classroom supplies and furnishings.Following through on other responsibilities as required by the program and related to duties and skills.Completing at least 2 hours per month or 20 hours per year continuing education related to skills and knowledge necessary to provide therapeutic integration services.Qualifications Education and/or Experience AA degree or 2 years college credit in the fields of early hood, special education, or psychology.At least 1 year supervised experience working with ren with special needs, including social/emotional disorders and/or developmental disabilities.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations at least 2 years college courseworkCompletion of CPR & First Aid certificationsLanguage Skills - Ability to read and interpret lesson plans and books.Ability to write and/or print posters and signs.Basic computer skills.Mathematical Skills - Ability to perform basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).Reasoning Ability - Ability to recognize problems.
